Taking inspiration from his father’s stories of a king’s island, utterly unspoilt and abundant with life. Farasan is Jarvus’ vision of creating realism through synthesis of sound, enticing the listener into evocative emotional soundbeds. An attempt to distance the music from it’s origins of wires and digital code, arriving somewhere more real and nostalgic.

Snippets of improvisations drawn from a sound diary of inquisitive noodling presented as a collage. Contrasted against generative pieces using probability, mathematics and the odd moment of arbitrary fortune.

All sounds created using synthesisers with one sample in track 7 recorded at Brussels train station.

The album is released alongside 3 short films produced and shot on Super 8 film by Will Bentley
